About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Business Development Manager to lead and expand our business development efforts. This role combines leadership, relationship-building, data-driven strategy, and direct deal closing. The ideal candidate will define and refine the Ideal Client Profile (ICP), identify high-impact events and partnership opportunities, attend in-person events, and coordinate expansion efforts across multiple cities and states to drive revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development Strategy
  • Define and continuously refine the Ideal Client Profile (ICP).
  • Identify high-potential industries, partners, and geographic markets.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand presence in target regions.
  • Align business development efforts with company growth objectives.
2. Events & Partnership Development
  • Identify and attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Evaluate which events and partnerships generate measurable results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders.
  • Represent the company professionally in external engagements.

3. Deal Origination & Closing

  • Initiate and nurture high-value client and partner conversations.
  • Lead meetings with prospective partners and clients.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals.
  • Ensure smooth transition from signed deal to internal execution teams.

4. Multi-Region Coordination

  • Coordinate business development initiatives across multiple cities and states.
  • Identify local representatives, partners, or resources to strengthen presence.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation and follow-up in each region.
  • Monitor performance by geography and adjust strategy accordingly.

5. Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Track KPIs related to events, partnerships, pipeline, and closed revenue.
  • Analyze conversion rates and ROI by channel and region.
  • Double down on high-performing initiatives and pivot away from underperforming ones.
  • Provide structured reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership.


Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in business development and B2B deal closing.
  • Experience attending and leveraging industry events for revenue generation.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to close high-value partnerships and deals.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating multi-region or multi-market initiatives.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Tools & Technical Knowledge

  • CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar).
  • Sales pipeline tracking and reporting tools.
  • Spreadsheet tools for analysis (Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Familiarity with outbound sales and prospecting tools is a plus.
  • Experience using data dashboards to evaluate performance is a plus.
